Sam G. Baris
Deputy General Counsel
Sam serves as Deputy General Counsel at Raine.
Prior to joining Raine, Sam was a practicing attorney at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, public and private debt and equity securities offerings, corporate governance matters, and general corporate and commercial advisory. Before law school, Sam worked with fixed-income derivative products at Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital.
Sam earned his J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, an editor of the Columbia Business Law Review, and an InSITE fellow. He received his B.S. in Quantitative Economics from Tufts University.
Sam is a member of the Boards of Directors of the Park Slope Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Inc., a Brooklyn-based volunteer ambulance service, and the Center for Community Based EMS, a non-profit organization with the goal of aiding in the provision of emergency medical services and disaster relief nationwide. He is on the advisory board of the Tufts Financial Group, a student-run investment fund at Tufts University.
