Rounak Chandak
Managing Director
Rounak is a Managing Director at Raine.
He has over 12 years of experience in investment banking and M&A in India across his roles at Raine, Moelis & Company, Dream Sports, and Deutsche Bank. Rounak has advised on a range of mergers & acquisitions and private capital-raising transactions across the TMT, consumer, and consumer internet sectors.
His notable transaction experience at Raine includes the $8.5 billion merger of Disney’s India business with Reliance’s media business, as well as fundraises for Games24x7 and FabHotels (TravelPlus). His notable transaction experience at his former workplaces includes fundraises for Pepperfry, and Hector Beverages; Silver Eagle’s acquisition of Videocon d2h; InterGlobe Technology Quotient’s minority stake sale to Capital Group; and KKR’s acquisition of J.B. Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals.
Rounak holds an M.B.A. from the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi, and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Durgapur.
